Wildman Wilderness Lodge Introduction

Amidst the lush wilderness of Australia’s breathtaking Top End, Wildman Wilderness Lodge offers an extraordinary wetlands safari experience. Wildman is a small-scale, high quality safari lodge featuring a variety of boutique and environmentally sensitive touring options, including tours of Kakadu National Park and cruising on the Mary River. Its teeming wildlife and unique tours offer a world far removed from your own, yet with all the modern comforts of great accommodation, delicious meals, and wine to enjoy at the end of each day.

Wildman Wilderness Lodge comprises of a central lodge, 10 cabins (‘Habitats’), and 15 Safari Tents, the whole forming a pleasant escape amidst an awe-inspiring environment. The habitats and Safari tents come with an array of comforts to make staying at Wildman Wilderness Lodge as comfortable as possible. Epitomising luxury on the wetlands is the infinity pool, a cool oasis in the Northern Territory sun.

The restaurant at Wildman Wilderness Lodge offers a special dining experience with an outlook toward the beautiful Mary River National Park wetlands. Wildman Wilderness Lodge showcases the best seasonal produce Australia and the Northern Territory has to offer, as well as some traditional elements from the local culture.

In order to maximise the Northern Territory experience, Wildman Wilderness Lodge offers a variety of unique tours that offer everything from bushwalking to air-boating.

Wildman & The Environment

Environmental best practice technology has been optimised in all operational aspects of the generation of power, and the treatment of water and sewerage, with the aim of creating minimal environmental impact. Committed to conservation, Wildman is the ultimate ‘recycled resort’, and how it came into being is a story on an epic scale. When Wrotham Park (located 300kms West of Cairns) closed in 2009, its infrastructure was dismantled, loaded onto 18 triple road trains and transported 2800kms across Australia. Once unloaded in their new setting on the Mary River Wetlands, the buildings formed a new site of sophisticated accommodation that is now the unique Wildman Wilderness Lodge. We continue to promote sustainability through products used at the lodge, and through keeping a focus on the environment in our tours.
