Ceremony Locations

The team at Wildman Wilderness Lodge can assist you in choosing the best location for your wedding ceremony. Ceremonies are only available if you have your reception at Wildman Wilderness Lodge. * Please note that in order to have your ceremony in these locations; we need to gain permission from National Parks and from the Traditional Owners.

On the floodplains*

 

Amongst the termite mounds with the Mary River floodplain as your backdrop.

On the deck

 

The expansive timber deck with central fire pit area provides a convenient and relaxed ceremony location.

Leichardt Point*

 

This location offers expansive views of the wetlands and is often spectacular at sunset.

Secluded Billabong*

 

Allow the abundant wildlife in the area to provide your ambience and soundtrack.

The Lodge

Available for exclusive use, the Lodge restaurant, bar area and outside deck caters for groups up to 90 guests.

The purpose built function room overlooks the floodplains and offers a private location for groups up to 30 guests.

Accommodation

Habitat Cabins

 

Our indulgent, romantic ‘Habitats’ offer unexpected comfort in this wilderness location. Surrounded by breathtaking nature, these well-appointed, beautifully designed free-standing cabins offer a soothing luxury. In air-conditioned comfort, with luxury bedding, premium furnishings and en suite bathrooms, the Habitats are the perfect respite after a day of adventure in the wilderness. Habitats contain full tea and coffee facilities and a mini bar.

Safari Tents

 

An alternative option for those who seek a bit more adventure (needless to say, in style), this truly luxe ‘camping’ experience is a premium offering. Each fan-cooled tent is surprisingly spacious at 50m2 and comes complete with en suite bathroom. Natural colours and materials from the region have been utilised and reflect the surrounding environment, the entire experience providing a grounded closeness to the wilderness with all the romance of the ultimate hideaway. Five tents are designed to cater for families of four with bedding configuration of either a King sized double bed or twin single beds, and an additional one single bed and one trundle bed. Safari Tents contain full tea and coffee facilities and a mini bar.

Wedding Checklist

This Wedding checklist has been designed to assist you through the planning process. The team at will be happy to answer your questions and provide advice at every stage.

Stage one:

  • Select a date and secure your Ceremony and Reception venues at
  • Make your accommodation booking at if required
  • Find a wedding celebrant and confirm their availability
  • Find a photographer and confirm their availability
  • Complete the Booking Form and send through your deposit
  • Confirm your Wedding Ceremony location, time and preferences
  • Confirm your Wedding Reception location, time and preferences
  • Obtain your preliminary costing and confirmation from Wildman Wilderness Lodge

Stage two (3 months prior):

  • Ensure your “Notice of Intention to Marry” form has been completed
  • Send guest invitations
  • Place the order for your wedding cake
  • Consult with the food and beverage manager on your menu and beverage packages
  • Discuss your entertainment and music requirements
  • Discuss your theming and decoration requirements

Stage three (1 month prior):

  • Make final pre-payment
  • Confirm final guest numbers
  • Confirm your menu and beverage package
  • Review and confirm all details with Wildman
