The Wildman Wilderness Lodge experience extends well beyond the adventures of the day. When the time comes to relax after a full day of touring, the main lodge is yours to enjoy with a restaurant, bar, lounge, and swimming pool making it perfect for families, couples, special events and meetings. The world-class communal lodge is the focal point of the resort and epitomises Top End architecture. Designed for maximum comfort throughout the seasons and featuring a spacious lounge bar, it’s the ideal place to wind down in the late afternoon. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal with a feeling of comfort and quality. The building’s design allows for the free flow of air throughout. It is fully screened and fan-cooled. The spacious lounge bar is air conditioned.

Dining

Showcasing the best seasonal produce Australia has to offer, Wildman’s delicious array of food and beverages are matched only by the stunning views. For all-day adventures, a picnic lunch makes the perfect take-away. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A full breakfast and sumptuous 3-course dinner are included in the daily rate.

Accommodation

Wildman Wilderness Lodge comprises of a central lodge, 10 air-conditioned cabins (‘Habitats’) and 15 Safari Tents. Both Options feature an en-suite bathroom and stylish finishes to create accommodation with a touch of luxury in an awe-inspiring environment.

Low Impact

Environmental best practice technology has been optimised in all operational aspects of the generation of power, and the treatment of water and sewerage, with the aim of creating minimal environmental impact. Committed to conservation, Wildman is the ultimate ‘recycled resort’, and how it came into being is a story on an epic scale. When Wrotham Park (located 300kms west of Cairns) closed in 2009, its infrastructure was dismantled, loaded onto 18 triple road trains and transported 2800kms across Australia. Once unloaded in their new setting on the Mary River Wetlands, the buildings formed a new site of sophisticated accommodation that is now the unique Wildman Wilderness Lodge.

Meetings & Special Events

GETTING THERE

Located 170 km by road from Darwin, Wildman Wilderness Lodge is just 2 hours easy driving via the Arnhem Highway and Point Stuart Road. Scheduled transfers operate between Darwin and Wildman every Monday, Wednesday and Friday costing $125 per person each way. Or private car transfers are available on request.
